THE CBD DIFFERENCE

What is CBD?

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, a chemical compound called a cannabinoid that is found in the cannabis sativa plant. When consumed, CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which is made up of receptors that control a number of bodily functions. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it does not make the consumer feel “high.”

All products and the materials that they are made of are third-party tested.

FAQ

HOW DO YOU CONSUME CBD?

From vape pens and capsules to elixirs and topicals, there are a number of ways to consume CBD. There are a few ways to consume CBD:

Sublingual
CBD can be administered sublingually, meaning under the tongue. This method is known to be faster acting than others, as the cannabinoid is absorbed into the bloodstream via the mucosal membrane inside the mouth.

Oral
Ingesting CBD is one of the stronger consumption methods, as the cannabinoid is metabolized by the liver. This method increases CBD’s bioaccessibility.

Inhalation
CBD oil can be vaporized and inhaled, which is the fastest method of consumption.

Topical
CBD oil is often added to lotions and creams, which are applied to the skin. Some products are transdermal, meaning the CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream when rubbed into the skin.

WHAT ARE TERPENES?

Terpenes are like fragrant essential oils, that give our CBD TerpFx profiles products their aromatic and flavor profiles. Simply put, they’re what give blueberry its signature berry smell, lavender its sweet floral aroma, etc. Terpenes can be found in many herbs, fruits, plants, and of course, cannabis.

WHAT DOES “NANOPARTICULATED” MEAN?

Canna Hemp's CBD is nanoparticulated, meaning that the microscopic particles in the cannabinoid are small enough to be absorbed at a cellular level. When combined with terpenes, CBD offers what is known as the “entourage effect”, which describes the synergy between cannabinoids and terpenes to enhance the overall effect.
